Cordless rechargeable lights using LED technology add a modern touch to the contemporary garden. LEDs produce light by the process of Electroluminescence. This is the phenomenon where by light is emitted from a material when an electrical current is passed through it. Electrons can only flow one way across the junction and as they do they fill electron holes causing their energy level drops and the release of photons (light).
