Most people want to eat food that is low in fat, no trans fats, no cholesterol, and all the other Health Food buzz words, but who really has the time. Everybody has such a busy life now, "eating right" usually loses out to a Big Mac. It is easy and fast, and they taste pretty good. And really a Big Mac isn't going to kill me; I ordered a Diet soda. Well, maybe it is time that we compromised a bit. If there were foods, that had all the Health Food industry buzz words, were fast to cook, tasted good, and even your kids would like them, wouldn't you give it a try ? For your kids, if for no one else.
You don't have to be a cook to make a healthy cooking for a healthy fast food. No need to use all the condiments or any food additives to have a healthy food. The more freshness of fruits and vegetables the better it taste. If you want to make some salads out vegetable or fruits try to avoid boiling or cooking them thoroughly. It will get rid of the food nutrients, if possible put them after cooking is done and just cover it. The steam or the heat from the pan will cook it and the food nutrients will remain. Make some research on the net for a good tips and advice to make a healthy fast food more valuable to our health.
Avoid extra dressings. The calories and fat often hide in the form of salad dressings, mayonnaise, sour cream, and cheese. If you prefer your sandwiches with condiments, ask for ketchup or mustard that you can add yourself to control how much to put on your food.
