Imagine this, instead of greasy fries and a fatty, greasy hamburger, you drive through a fast food drive-through and can get organic or all-natural foods. The growing trend in living green is showing that people want healthy fast food chains. Many people want to eat healthy foods with no added chemicals, but think they lack the money or the time to do so. It would be a great idea if a store such as Whole Foods Market decided to open a fast food chain. As long as the chain was affordable and quick, the vast amount of dieters or health conscious people would jump at the chance to support an idea like this.
While many of us understand that fast foods are not healthy choices, many of us also have busy lives that do not allow us to cook home cooked meals every night. For people like this, there is ways that you can make your fast food meals healthier. To begin, avoid eating meats, or anything that is grilled or fried. Instead, order a salad. The salads sold at fast food restaurants are much healthier than the burgers! Also try purchasing fruit with your meal. Many of these restaurants will offer a side of fruit such as apples or oranges. These sides are much healthier for you than the French fry alternatives. When purchasing a drink, avoid soda. Instead, drink a healthy alternative such as juice or water. Most carbonated drinks that are obtained from a fountain are not healthy for your body.
Now this next tip may seem a little cruel but you need to tone down the French fries eating. I know who doesn't love some tasty fries. But again they are fried and loaded with grease and fat. Once in a while, fries are fine, but just don't make them a staple in your diet. Instead opt for the side of fruit, veggies, or a side salad. And lastly, salads can be a great meal most of the time. It all really depends on what you put on the salad. If you're going to eat a salad stay away from the fatty salad dressings, bacon bits, fried meats, or other fatty toppings that turn a "healthy" salad into nothing better than the cheeseburger and fries. Instead, load up on veggies, grilled meats, and a light dressing such as vinaigrette to keep the salad on the lighter side.
